So this week we took a long hard walk uphill to the hilly side of Mijas Pueblo. The white washed buildings and peaks of landscape is just stunning. Its one of our favourite places to explore and each time we seem to find something new and interesting. Having to park pretty far than our usual choice we passed a shop displaying some lovely fresh looking cakes. Well my daughter was salivating, husband had a big smile on his face and I was actually unsure. That was until I noticed lemon meringue …..ooooooooh!!!
So this is how it went. I said no, its ok, I wont have anything, just 2 cakes please…I am going to be good.Well that obviously didn’t last too long. I continued to snap pictures of the delights in the shop and of course it wasn’t long until my choice of cake was being carefully wrapped up in paper, card and sealed beautifully.
I think the fact we had a long walk was timely to help shed some calories. The walk back was so steep, I was glad I had flat sandals and could take my time easing my way back down. The scenery was beautiful, the people from different nations and the lovely outdoors good for my soul.
